Internships
With two years, four semesters and only one summer left before I graduate, I realized that I really need to start thinking about internships. (As a Graphic Design major at AU, some sort of approved internship is required for graduation.)
I’m just gonna pause for a minute and comment on how terribly disappointed I was when I realized this. Don’t get me wrong, I’m totally pumped...

Photo Updates: Kayla, Lance & Noah
This summer has brought a lot of photo opportunities for me! In an attempt to keep my new flickr account and blog up to date, here are some of my recent photos. First off, we have the long-awaited posting of Kayla Chasteen’s bridal shoot. I couldn’t post these before, just in case there was a groom lurking around here, but here they are, finally.
Next up is the groom himself, Lance...

ALT/1977
I was using Stumble Upon the other day when I stumbled upon this awesome design series by Alex Varanese. It was hosted on a site called Behance, a host for professional design portfolios and job recruiters.
The concept behind the series was a sci-fi/time travel scenario in which the artist takes modern day technology back to the 70s, redesigns and markets it to fit the time period, and makes a...

Orientation
So, I’ve been at school this week working as an Alpha Leader for freshman orientation. What an awesome experience it has been… It is a complete and extreme step out of my comfort zone, for sure. I have always said that I wanted to be a camp counselor at least one summer during my life, and doing this has shown me that I could definitely handle that. It has been so fun to meet all of...

New Photos: Jordan
I was recently asked to do senior portraits for a friend, Jordan Hight. Here’s a sample of the final product via Flickr.
I also was able to do my good friend Kayla Chasteen’s bridal portraits. I can’t post all of them, but here’s a preview featuring Kayla’s most beautiful bridesmaid (who just so happens to be my girlfriend). I will post the entire set after the...

LOST
Around the time that season 3 of LOST was beginning, there was an attempt made by some of my friends to rope me into the show. I was really interested in it, but I didn’t have time to watch two seasons of a show to catch up, and LOST isn’t a show that you want to jump into in the middle. I kept saying that when the series was over, I’d watch it all, and avoid the suspense of...

Vintage
In Maui, there’s this small port town called Lahaina, home to Front Street, one of my favorite places in the world. Take downtown Anderson, make it four times longer and put it right down on the beach. I don’t mean on an island, but this place is literally on the beach. All of the buildings on one side of the street sit above the water. Lahaina has every kind of store - souvenir shops,...
